This is a different #3 that has been rated by one of my friends on the gripboard. I met Paul Knight this weekend and he took the video. Paul is a crazy strong guy and very cool.

Another powerful close Chez! You have proved that you are more than ready for a Ironmind coc#3 cert and March 17th New London CT would be a great place for this to go down!

Thanks Gerry. I wish it wasn't on St. Patrick's day or I totally would go. GF would not be happy if I blew her off and my friends haha. I appreciate all your support buddy.

Hey Cesare haha, well what 'll you know. What are you doing here? Interested in griptraining or what? :;cl)
Thought to bring my 'old' IM account back to life. Trying to keep some posts here also.
You're doing well! But I said that already on the GB. Cool to train with Paul and those guys last weekend. And throwing in those CCS's.
Keep it up.

Great close Cesare! Also solid work on that parallel-set close of the GHP8! Is either gripper RGC-rated?

Good seeing you on here Geralt! Thanks Ben. The #3 in my most recent CCS video belongs to Brent Barbe. It was rated at 151.77 lbs by Chris Rice. My #3 from my first video hasn't been rated but feels more difficult. The GHP 8 hasn't been rated either. I haven't had any of my grippers rated, but I want to send them to Chris or Matt Cannon soon.

I got back from Finland late last night and just looked at this video—having Paul there was probably worth an extra 5% power :;lh) but however you slice it, you looked strong as a horse as you crushed the CoC3.

I don't get carried away with the RGC numbers and would say that if you can consistently close a current Captains of Crush No. 3 according to the rules, then you are ready to go for your certification—no need to have to try a bunch of different CoC3 grippers because they should all be very consistent.

Thank you very much Mr. Strossen. I have been training very hard for 8 months and I really feel that I'm ready. I sent the request for certification to Chris Sheenhan but it was denied because my first CCS close was 2/29/12. He informed me that I should wait and close the gripper a couple dozen times first. I have closed it with the credit card every time since 2/29/12. I was so focused on Parallel set closes for grip board certifications that 2/29/12 was the first time in a while that I tried the credit card set. Any chance that my request can be reconsidered? I really want to accomplish this goal.

Very sorry if that came across as ironclad because Chris was trying to convey our concern about whether you were really ready, but the door should have been left open for you to say, "Hey, don't worry about that 2/29/12 date because I'm ready to slay that dragon." It doesn't happen often, but sometimes we get requests for CoC gripper or Red Nail certification attempts where the person really isn't quite there yet and since these things take other people's time and money, we try to be cautious—we understand that anyone can have a bad day, but we try to screen the requests so that there is a very high probability that the person will succeed.

So, considering all of this, if you think you're ready, we can fire things up at our end and I'll say again that this isn't something you need to agonize over or spend money on—my thought is that if you can slam a recent CoC3 the way you did on that video, you are ready.

I would really appreciate the opportunity and I'm ready to rock and roll :). I'm a law student and I was hoping to certify during my spring break which is the week starting April 2nd. I'm free the entire week so I'm able to drive and meet up with a judge anytime they are available. I'll try and send Chris an email. Thank you for your quick response.

Sounds good—we're on it and will try to get things dialed in for that time slot.

A future lawyer? You'll give new meaning to "Let's shake on it" as that will be an agreement that will be self-policing.

I'll update Chris and we'll hope to have the details for your certification attempt settled shortly.

Thank you very much. I'm super excited. I have been thinking about this day for 8 months straight and I'm going to take it very seriously.

One thing that I can promise is that I'll give it everything I got. Thanks buddy! I want to see us both on that list this year.
