Possibility of a "Black Nail" Roster?

Ever since this idea was brought up in the Red Nail rules change thread, I have been very, very interested in the possibility of it coming to fruition. A piece of 3/8 x 7" CRS, bent in IMPs and using the same rules as the Red Nail cert. That would be a very, very small list IMO, but it may bring some of the greats back into the game. It would also give the rest of us something to aspire to.

Would this be a possibility at some point in time?

Anyone have any opinions?

I like it - there are quite a few people I think would go for this - both some of the old guard and some of the new.

I would've gone for it during my healthy shoulder days. I know a handful that will pursue it for quite a while if it becomes available.

I agree 100% Chris, and IMO, that would be the beauty of it. Bringing the old and new together, at the same time. When you look at the Red Nail roster the early/mid years read like a who's-who of the bending world, there are some legendary names there. As you get to the later years it's more like a "who are these dudes" list- no disrespect intended. BUT a new list using a bigger bar would bring the two groups together, maybe re-ignite a few flames, and give newer benders an ultimate goal. I really think that there would be A LOT of serious interest.

I love the idea of a Black Nail! I think this would be a very small list of people but would no doubt give many of us something to put in the crosshairs.

I like the idea very much. a 7x3/8 CRS in IMP's under a minute. Yes that list would be VERY short one! But it's not impossible.

It would be like a #4 cert. To achieve this cert one would have to do some serious chasing, years of hard work.
