My condolences to the Gillingham family. I remember watching him play when I was a kid growing up in Milwaukee. What a great picture on the home page.

Default The passing of a legend - Gale Gillingham

Very sad news indeed that Gale Gillingham has passed. I do want to extend sympathy to Brad, Wade, Karl and their entire family. Truly, to have a great man as a father is a treasure and to have such sons is a legacy. May we all be so blessed.

This is very sad news !
I met Gale via his son Brad Gillingham at the IPF Worlds 97 in Prague if I remember correctly.
Then I was the SAFE USA rep in Germany and Brad was sponsored by Scott Safe.
I talked to Gale at the Hotel and the venue a few times.
A very fine gentleman! Truly an inspiration.

My condolences to the Gillingham family

    May he rest in peace

Words are not enough. Find strength in his strength. I regret never meeting him. He sure turned out some fine, strong sons! His legacy now lives on! In deepest sympathy. Richard Sorin

I had heard that he was one of the earliest fellows to seriously lift weights in the NFL.

My condolences to his entire family for their loss. Many people and fans will miss him.
