Some big names that have confirmed that they won't be going. Has there been any news on why? Thought at least one of the Lalas brothers would have got an invite. I guess with the the number of athletes down to 25 some top guys would miss out.

Shame there is no Pritchett or Novikov, both have looked good in the Arnold comps. I see Zageris has been overlooked again, top competitor at SCL, as is Radzikowski, Kohlruss and the returning Ortmayer.

Also no Savickas, Savatinov, Best or Arsjo. Haven't seen these guys compete in a while. Does anyone know if some/all of these have retired.

In terms of athletes that have confirmed, not really any unknown quantities, except maybe Fossdal.

      Ben,

Vytautas Lalas is retiring from strongman and is moving into arm-wrestling.

      Best has retired from WSM.

Savickas is winding down on his competitive career and is doing strength seminars.

Graham Hicks wife is heavily pregnant.

Hollands is training for a bodybuilding contest.

      Pritchett wasn't invited.

      Zageris is recovering from injury/surgery.

Radzikowski, Ortmayer & Kohlruss could be competing at SCL Holland while WSM is on.

I haven't heard much about Arsjo or Savatinov.

This WSM will be the last for Felix & Shahlaei.

                  Predictions:-
G1 - Thor & Stoltman. I think it'll be Kearney & Stoltman on the Stone.
G2 - Janashia & Oberst. Oberst to best Bishop on the Stone.
G3 - Licis & Stoltman. Stoltman is one of the best Stone lifters in the World, he edges out Shiv.
G4 - Kieliszkowski & Caron. Shahlaei to be the unlucky loser in Stone against J-F
G5 - Shaw & Novikov. Felix could triumph in the Stone but Novikov has been in great form.
