What should to take a notice when try to carry a Husafell-stone in Island? Permission from the landowner?

Hello Tatu,
Great video clips. You know the secret about training to carry The Husafell Stone...do lots of stone carries.
As you said it all starts with a dream.
The Husafell Stone does not require permission to carry. Husafell is about 1 hour 45 minutes outside of Reykjavik and is easy to find on a map. There is a small church, kjirk, and a farm at the site. The stone pen and a plaque that tells the story is next to the stream. All you have to do is be respectful of the stone and the site, which I am sure you will be, and the rest is up to you. I would encourage you to look around and maybe you can meet the farmer who owns the land, Jon Pall Guðmundsson.
When do you plan on going? It is actually a tourist area in a very pleasant valley, so in the summer the local accommodations could be full. So, be prepared.

Hi again. Thank you for your answer. I'm going next summer , the exact date is 10th June 2017. It is the 50th birthday. And on that day I was going to carry the stone . Do you have information on how many man has carried the stone ? Are there any statistics ?

I am pretty sure that Eric Fiorillo sells a 'Husa-steel'. Search the internet but I am sure he is having them made.

Great video! I will say the maddening part of The Husafell Stone is that it is very smooth and dense. No real place to grab the stone. Keep training and good luck! Bill
