I've been in powerlifting for 20 years. A few years ago when USA powerlifting created raw divisions and organizations like %100 raw were started. I just watched the sport explode. So much bigger turn outs than equipment meets. In Dec I did American open in Pennsylvania. Almost 400 lifters in 2 days, 3 platforms at the same time it was crazy. I was told less than %10 wore gear. Did Feb meet in Albany ny.(terrible day too soon after American open less than %10 wore gear there too. Glad to see the sport going that direction.

Jeremy just hit 672.4 at 246 for a new all-time bench WR at 275 at the APA meet in FL. He missed 701 on his final lift.

661 at 242 seemed to be a limit that no man would ever break. Set back in 2012 it has not even been challenged! Until today, the man who set that record, Jeremy Hoornstra 4 yrs later raises that record once again! 663 pounds at 241!!
